SOUTH BEND - Susan J. Pusztai, 75, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Heritage at Lowman Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Chapin, South Carolina. Susan was born on Oct, 18, 1940, in South Bend, to John Michael and Minnie (Odusch) Kasprzak. She was the owner of the Tahitian Salon in Mishawaka for 31 years. A beloved mother, Susan is survived by her two daughters, Chris (Mark) Gay of Columbia, South Carolina ,and Lyn Pustai of Chicago, Illinois; one grandson, Daniel Adkins; her brother, John Kasprzak of South Bend, Indiana; two nephews, John (Jackie) Kasprzak and Michael (Sherry) Kasprzak; three great-nieces, Kimmie, Abby, and Amanda Kasprzak; one great-nephew, John Michael Kasprzak; and her spiritual sister, Mary Ann Kendziora. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 am Thursday, March 31st, in Crypt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. A visitation will take place before Mass on Thursday, March 31st, at 8:30 am at the Crypt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. Susan was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and the Order of Carmelites, O.C.D.S. Memorial contributions may be directed to Catholic Charities through Sacred Heart Parish.
