Richard C. DeMunck, 78, of Mishawaka, IN passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. Richard was born in Mishawaka on June 8, 1944, to the late Leo and Irene (Andries) DeMunck. On July 3, 1965, he married his sweetheart, Susan Marks, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Laurie (Scott) Herbst and Jeffrey DeMunck; grandchildren, Lyndsay Herbst and Cameron DeMunck; sisters, Rosemary (David) Turley and Frances (John) Cook; sister-in-law, Diane (Paul) Daggy; brothers-in-law, Allen (Lois) Marks, David (Cyndee) Marks, and Wayne (Marty) Marks; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Steve Megyese and sister-in-law, Joyce Dunne. Richard retired in 2006 after working many years with Dodge Manufacturing / Rockwell. He loved sports, spending hours bowling, umpiring, playing Putt-Putt and softball. Richard was an Atlanta Braves and a Mishawaka High School football fan; but his biggest joy was his family and spending time with his wife, children and his dog Jasper. Following Richard’s wishes, no formal services are planned. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
