SOUTH BEND - James D. Luczkowski, 70, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born on July 20, 1945, in South Bend, IN, to the late Eugene and Phyllis Luczkowski. On February 4, 1967, in South Bend, IN, he married the former Nancy S. (Selesky) Luczkowski. Mr. Luczkowski is survived by his wife, Nancy S. Luczkowski; daughter, Traci (Joe) Wiegand; grandson, Jimmy Wiegand, and great-granddaughter, Mayla Leal, all of South Bend, IN; son, Doug (Amy) Luczkowski of Niles, MI; grandchildren, Katie, Cassie, Chelsie and Jakob Luczkowski; son, Keith (Angie) Luczkowski, grandchildren, Henry and Charlie Luczkowski; sisters, Nancy (Bill) O'Blenis, Judy (Bob) Luczkowski and Mary (Jerry) Grice all of South Bend, IN. In his younger years, Mr. Luczkowski loved working on his family farm. He loved John Wayne and cowboy movies. He enjoyed bowling, softball, golf and fishing. He was an avid Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers fan. He worked for twenty-seven years at Sibley Foundry, eighteen years at Krizman/Dana/Affinia and for six years as security police for Notre Dame. He loved his children, grandchildren, family and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 Indiana 933, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Contributions in memory of James D.
