SOUTH BEND - Joan Wenger-Adams of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 19th, at her son and daughter-in law's home in Loveland, Ohio. She was born on June 14, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Edna (Butler) and Benjamin Wroblewski. She was one of three children and her siblings, Mary Bates (Bud) and Benjamin Wroblewski, also preceded her in death. Joan Wenger-Adams was married to the late Warren Wenger and Charles Adams. She is survived by her son, Philip Wenger (Cathy); and granddaughters, Ashley Wenger and Elyse Pyle (Braden). In addition, she is survived by a niece, Lynne Ward (Joe) of Osceola; and her stepsons, Earl Adams (Regina) and Loren Adams (Susan). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 25th 2016, at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN, 46615, with Rev. Dr. Patrick Somers officiating. Friends may visit with the family in the church one hour prior to services. A luncheon will follow the services at church. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Joan to Evangel Heights United Methodist Church.
