SOUTH BEND - Elizabeth Louise (Betty Lou) Sosinski, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the West Bend Nursing Facility surrounded by her family. Betty Lou was born January 5, 1929, in South Bend. On July 17, 1948, Betty married her high school sweetheart, Leonard P. Sosinski, who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded by her mother, Irene, and adopted father, Leo Kieloch. Survivors of Betty Lou include her children, Nancy A. (Terrance) Long of Elmhurst, IL, and Gary A. (Kathy) Sosinski of South Bend; grandchildren, Michael (Bekah) Sosinski of Vandalia, OH, Melissa (Joe) Ramsbey of Avon, IN, Erin (Kent) Knudson of Chicago and Emily (Elias Nevarez) Long of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Addison, Sofia, Andrew, Reece; and a very special friend, Louise, with whom she went to the Blue Chip. Betty Lou was a graduate of the former South Bend Catholic High School. She retired in 1989 from Memorial Hospital where she worked in the admitting office for 32½ years. Betty was a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church and a member of the Seniors Club. A Private Service for Betty Lou will be held at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is handling the arrangements. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. A Special Thank You to the West Bend Nursing Facility, Real Services, Fresenius Nephrology, and all of her caregivers, nurses and doctors.
