SOUTH BEND - Janice L. Harman, 56, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on January 25 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Dan; their children, Adam (Sarah) Harman of South Bend and Amy (Dwight Smith) Harman of Mishawaka; her mother, Virginia; and a sister, Jeanne (Jim) Cassler of Elkhart. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30, in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

SOUTH BEND - Janice L. Harman, 56, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on January 25 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Janice was born on November 19, 1952, in South Bend, to George and Virginia (Sienkiewicz) Bowering. She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Juliann; a brother, Michael; father-in-law, Sam Harman; and by her brother-in-law, Jeff Harman. On November 18, 1972, she married Dan Harman in South Bend. He survives along with their children, Adam (Sarah) Harman of South Bend and Amy (Dwight Smith) Harman of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Brady, Alison, Sophia and Theoden; her mother, Virginia; sister, Jeanne (Jim) Cassler of Elkhart; mother-in-law, Betty Harman of South Bend; sisters-in-law, Jane (Harman) Aaron of Lakeville and Tammy (Bowering) Clark of South Bend; nieces, Hanna, Kelsey and Juli Harman; nephews, John Harman, Michael Bowering, Aaron Bowering and Andy Cassler; her family friends, Karen and Archie Archambault; and by her caring dog, Justice. Janice worked for Fred Hains law firm as a legal secretary for 11 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren; Janice would spend the days with them taking them to movies, festivals, plays and too many of their sporting events. She loved going on family vacations, trips to Vegas, and enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffet and Blues music. She also enjoyed reading. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. For those who are unable to attend
