Richard Ray “Dickie” Mahoney, 71, passed away at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Dickie was born on October 14, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Walter and Lucy (Sellars) Mahoney. Dickie lived most of his life in the South Bend area, leaving only when he joined the Army. He did 4 years and served a tour in Vietnam. Dickie is survived by his two daughters, Shannon (Ted Smith) Mahoney and Kiley (Jeff) Blackmar both of South Bend; two grandchildren, Tyler, and Katie Blackmar; and brother, Carl (Phyliss) Mahoney of South Bend. Per the family’s wishes, no public services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
