Karl F. “Fritz” Klein, 87 years old, passed away peacefully at 12:10 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at his home. Fritz Klein was born on April 21, 1935 in Kokomo, IN to the late Charles and Helen (Bouse) Klein. He has lived in Mishawaka for most of his life. Fritz was married to Virginia A. “Ginny” Randall on March 22, 1958 in Kokomo, IN. Virginia preceded him in death on March 16, 2018 after 60 years of marriage. Mr. Klein was the former owner and operator of Able Exterminating for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was proud of his service to the United States.Fritz always welcomed company and loved to host family and friends for gatherings. He loved to tell stories of his past experiences or just engage in conversation about current events. Mr. Klein is survived by his three children, Mark (Pam) Klein of Osceola, Lesley (Michael) Stoll of Mishawaka, and Kerry (Cathy) Klein of Bartlett, IL; and ten grandchildren, Amanda, Jonathon, Christopher, Peyton, Dalton, Kelsey, Dylan, Jacqueline, Collin and Trenton. He is also survived by five great grandchildren. A service celebrating the life of Karl “Fritz” Klein will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN. A private burial will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo, IN. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Karl “Fritz” Klein may be donated to Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617.
