Emil A. Horvath, Jr., 57, of Countryside Place, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1:51 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. He was born on Dec. 9, 1941, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Emil A. and Josephine (Landuit) Horvath. A sister, Sandra Sparks also preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1994. He is survived by a daughter, Jodie Horvath-Braches of New York; a brother-in-law, Donald Sparks of Mishawaka; his godparents, Lawrence and Alma Geisel of South Bend; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Emil was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He had been employed by McKinley Lumber Co. in Mishawaka. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
