SOUTH BEND - Martha G. Chrobot, 96, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2012, in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center. Martha was born on November 29, 1915, in South Bend, to Leon and Josephine (Jankowski) Kalicki, and was a lifelong resident. On November 28, 1935, in South Bend, as Martha G. Kalicki, she married Walter "Red" Chrobot, who preceded her in death on April 28, 2000. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Leona Gorzkiewicz and Agnes Kopec; and four brothers, Casimer, Arthur, Richard and Albert Kalicki. Survivors include three sons, Norman and his wife, Vicki, their two children, son, Erich, daughter, Emily Davis, and her children, Braelin and Hannah; Son, Emery and his wife, Chris, their two children, daughter, Donna and Dave Mason, and their children, Alex and Emmarie, their son, Andy and Sara and their children, Katie and Kyle; Son, Randy and his wife, Loretta, and their three children, daughter, Tonya and Brian Albertson, their children, Emma and Ella, son Ryan, and daughter Deanna and Ryan Finfrock, and their children, Nolan and Ashley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 21, 2012, in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Martha was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish and Harvest House. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting and crafts. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. Martha loved and dedicated herself to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
