Sheila Marie Herczeg, 79, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Memorial Hospital. Sheila was born October 4, 1942 in Galien, Michigan to the late Aloysius and Julia (Murdock) Hock. Sheila married James Herczeg, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Jr., Jerald, & Jonathan; sister, Janice Quinn; and brother, Richard Hock. Left to cherish the memory of Sheila is her son, Joseph Herczeg; sisters, Linda Hock, Virgina Seitz; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Chad Herczeg; great grandchildren, Alana, Gabriel Herczeg, and Bryce Aselt. Sheila was co-owner and ran a successful catering service for over 25 years and was also a practicing beautician. She was a huge Notre Dame Women's Basketball Fan and enjoyed gardening and cooking for the family. Sheila enjoyed puzzles, painting and decorating for the holidays, she never missed one! She cared for nature especially her birds and deer. Sheila was a huge family person, always caring and would help anyone at any time. Most of all Sheila loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a sincerest thank you to Memorial Hospital ICU nurses and staff. Visitation for Sheila will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 with a one-hour visitation (10:00 am to 11:00 am) prior to the ceremony in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
