Jerome engaged in the struggles of life from the moment he was born in South Bend, IN on May 09,1987. His rare, genetic skin disorder was a source of physical and emotional pain throughout his brief lifetime. Jerome passed away on April 18, 2008 in the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus,Ohio, after developing complications from hislifelong illness.Jerome was a fiercely independent individual who practiced his own philosophyof life. His troubled soul often lead him to make choices most of us would never venture to make, however, Jerome knew and practiced the true meaning of the word perseverance. His cross was not an easy one to carry and his journey was one filled with many obstacles. His family takes great solace in knowing herests in the Lord andis finally at peace with himself and the world he sodesperately struggled to be a part of. Jerome is survived by his parents, Anthony E. and Antoinette (Toni) M. of Mishawaka,four brothers: Eric E. (Brandi) of Omaha, NE, Darren A. (Vicki) of Rockford, MI, Nathan J. and Marcus A. of Mishawaka, three nephews and two nieces: Noah, Allison, and Abigail of Rockford, MI andAidan andNicholas of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, LucilleKrakowski, and maternal grandmother, BernadetteOsowski, both of Walkerton, IN. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edmund Krakowski.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 9:30 A.M. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in St. Joseph PRC Cemetery South Bend.
