Alice M. Springer, 76, of Moline died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a Rosary to be recited at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society. The former Alice Brall was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Geneseo, the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth VanVooren Brall. She married Anthony ``Tony'' J. Springer on Feb. 21, 1971, in East Moline. He preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1996. She worked as a beautician at her own store in downtown Moline and later out of her home for over 50 years, before retiring in 1989. Alice was a member of Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society and East Moline American Legion Auxiliary. Alice was a very loving person, she enjoyed gardening, especially roses, tulips and lillies. Survivors include sisters, Edna Kuehl, East Moline, Katherine Thompson, Geneseo, Marguerita Lawson, Rock Island; brothers, Harry Brall, Milan, and Charles Brall, Morrison.
