SOUTH BEND - Ivka Biberovic, 60, of South Bend, passed away after an extended illness in her home with her loving family by her side. Ivka was born on March 7, 1958, in Bosanski Brod, Bosnia to the late Tadija and Jela (Kljaic) Kljucevic. On April 2, 1976, in Bosnia, she married Emir Biberovic, the love of her life. Together they came to this country in 1998. Emir passed away on November 11, 2014. Ivka worked at Hoosier Springs in South Bend for several years. She is survived by her two sons, Sanel (Biljana) and Mirel Biberovic, both of South Bend; and two grandchildren, Mia and Matteo Biberovic, whom she loved and cherished. Also surviving is her sister, Verica Bardak of South Bend; niece, Tonja; and nephew, Vedran. Ivka's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, being with family and friends, and gardening. Mrs. Biberovic will be dearly missed by her loving family, her co-workers, and numerous friends she made during her life journey. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Visitation will take place TODAY, Thursday, June 28, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons “Southwest Chapel” Funeral Home, located at 23421 State Road 23/West Ireland Road, South Bend. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 29 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with Fr. Glenn Kohrman officiating. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements and services, and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Biberovic family.
