SOUTH BEND - Helen Marie Jesensky, 94, passed away at 8:59 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in her residence with family by her side. Helen was born on September 5, 1917 in South Bend to the late Valentine and Rose Kusz. On August 8, 1953 she married John Jesensky; he preceded her in death in May 2000. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Al, Bert and Casey; and by her sister, Mary. She is survived by her two sons, Randy Jesensky of South Bend and Greg (Nona) Jesensky of New Carlisle, IN; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Angela, Jeffrey and Christopher; seventeen great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Alice Oakley of Wichita, KS. Helen was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, where she was a very active member of St. Adalbert Choir, Flecian Sisters Auxiliary, and the Rosary Society. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and has always been a fan of the Cubs and Notre Dame Football. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2011 in St Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
