Ramona T. Buzas, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 12, 2022. She was born February 21, 1929, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Herman and Katherine (Kurdys) Skodinski. On October 7, 1950, she was united in marriage to Alex Buzas who preceded her in death on November 11, 2004. Ramona was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judy McMenemy; sons, Alexander Jr. "Shunny" and Richard "Dick" Buzas; sisters, Geraldine Pierce, Frances Taberski, Mildred Repczynski and Evelyn Skodinski; the Skodinski brothers, Cyro, Ervin, Harry, Clem, and Donald; and son-in-law, Ron McMenemy of Las Vegas, NV. Ramona is survived by her daughter, Donna (Tom) Popovic of North Liberty, IN; son Paul (Lisa) Buzas of Puyallup, WA; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Jim) Colson of South Bend, IN; and extended family member, Debra King of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Pam (Gary) Hawblitzel, Tommy (Jenny) Popovic, Missy (Jay) Buzas, Tony (Stephanie) Buzas, Ryan (Adam) Buzas, Jimmy (Christina) Buzas, Nick (Donny) Buzas, Dustin (Deanna) McMenemy, Ian (Diana) McMenemy, Chelsey (Shane) Kelly, Foster Buzas, and Griffin Buzas; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Ramona will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00am until 1:30pm with mass immediately following. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 N. Fir Rd, Granger, IN 46530.
