Mrs. Catherine Michalski, aged 59, of 2005 West Sample street, died at 11:30 o’clock Sunday night in her home after six weeks’ illness. Born in Poland Nov. 6, 1877, she came to South Bend from that country at the age of six years. Surviving are five sons and three daughters, George, Ladislaus and Casimir Michalski, of South Bend; John, of Jackson, Mich.; Leo, of South Dakota; Mrs. Martha Lemanski, Mrs. John Siupinski and Mrs. John Odynski, of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wieczorek and Mrs. Magdalen Nowicki, of South Bend; two brothers, Jacob Jendrzejewski, of South Bend, and Joseph Jendrzejewski, of Fort Wayne, Ind. The body may be viewed in the home. The funeral will be held at 9 o’clock Thursday morning from St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic church with Rev. Anthony J. Rozewicz, C.S.C., pastor, chanting the high requiem mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Polish cemetery.
