Luis A. Baigorria, 90, of Niles, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022 at his home. He was born in Fernandez, Santiago Del Estero, Argentina to the late Manuel and Valentina (Fernandez) Baigorria. On May 11, 1962, Luis married the former Luz Pires in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1964 they immigrated to the United States. First, to Cleveland, Ohio, then to Niles, Michigan in 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife of fifty years, Luz Baigorria; and five siblings, one of which who also came to the States and lived in Niles with he and his wife, Manuel (Ebbia Iris) Baigorria. Luis, known to those close to him as “Lilo” was an uncomplicated man who worked hard and took care of his family. He’ll be remembered as a man who lived with integrity and no one spoke an ill word about him. Luis A. Baigorria Sr. is survived by his two sons Louis (Julie) Baigorria of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Daniel Baigorria Sr. of Niles, a daughter Amy (Shawn Rembold) Baigorria of South Bend, five grandchildren; Daniel Jr., Anthony, Alexa, Aidan
and Jessica; and a nephew, Steve Baigorria of Niles, along with many nieces and nephews in Argentina. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 521 E. Main St. Niles. A time of visitation will be begin at 11:00 AM until the service time. Dr. Ted Bryant from Granger
Community Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
