EDWARDSBURG - Eugene G. Dobransky, Sr., 74 years old of Edwardsburg, MI, passed to his rest on December 27, 2013, his 74th birthday, after an illness, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. He was born December 27, 1939 in Sawyerville, IL, the son of George and Helen (Buzonik) Dobransky and has lived in this area since 1981. Eugene retired from R.R. Donnelly Printing Co., in Chicago, IL, as a printer and pressman, always striving for perfection. Eugene was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg. Eugene was married September 28, 1963 in Chicago to MaryAnn Starczewski, and she survives with their three children; Eugene G. Dobransky, Jr. of Edwardsburg, Martin Dobransky of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Christine Dobransky of Middlebury, IN. There are 6 grandchildren. Family who have passed are his parents and a sister, Juanita Fedrigon. Family and friends may gather on Thursday January 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main St. (US-12), Edwardsburg, where a prayer service will be at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 3, 2013 at 11:30 AM, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12, East, Edwardsburg, where family and friends may gather for one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Adamsville Cemetery. The family has requested that Memorial Donations be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church 24832 US-12, East, Edwardsburg, Michigan 49112, for masses of Eugene G. Dobransky. Arrangements are by the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg, Michigan 49112-0024.
