SOUTH BEND - Richard P. Kalicki, 84, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, in the Sanctuary at St. Joseph. Richard was born on December 2, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Leon and Josephine (Jankowski) Kalicki. On September 21, 1954, he married Rita E. Kalicki, who preceded him in death on March 1, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Kalicki, on May 7, 2010. He is survived by his son, Mark (Monica) Kalicki of Sturgis, MI; two step-granddaughters, Valerie (Doug) Stapleton of Seattle, WA, and Stephanie (Andrew) Lucas of Richmond, VA; sister, Martha Chrobot of South Bend; and by his brother, Arthur (Edwardine) Kalicki of South Bend. Richard was the owner of Kalicki Standard Station and worked for Harry's Liquor Store for many years. He served his country during WW II. He was a member of VFW. Richard was a Notre Dame football fan. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is assisting the family. Cremation will take place, with private burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
