WALKERTON - Freida G. Graczyk, 85, of Walkerton, IN, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:46 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, IN. She was born on September 9, 1923, in Akron, IN, to the late Dow and Sylvia (Grogg) Brown. In 1946 she married Joseph C. Graczyk, who preceded her in death on October 5, 1976. Mrs. Graczyk is survived by three daughters, Mary (Robert) Milner of Walkerton, IN, Sharon Reed of South Bend, IN, and Linda (Allen) Johnston of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, John (Vanessa) Reed, Michelle (Jeff) Stiglic, Robert Milner and Tara Reed; five great-grandchildren, Collin Reed, Justin Reed, Jordan Reed, Taylor Stiglic and Carter Stiglic; and a brother, Merl Brown of Fort Smith, AR. A son, Gary Graczyk, and sister, Pauline Hollingsworth, preceded her in death. Mrs. Graczyk retired in 2003 as an attendant at the Sunoco Station at Kern and 31 after 10 years of service. She formerly worked for Package of America for 15 years. Mrs. Graczyk formerly attended Calvary Temple. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Rev. Paul Murray will officiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. today in the funeral home.
