Beulah Bozenski

SOUTH BEND - Beulah Bozenski, 81, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at her home. She was born on April 25, 1934, in Waldo, KY, to the late Warnie and Lilly (Conley) Miller. On August 24, 1957, in Walkerton, IN, she was united in marriage to Edwin S. Bozenski, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1998. Mrs. Bozenski is survived by three daughters, Linda (Michael) McGinnity of South Bend, IN, Nancy (Mark) Needler of Martinsville, IN, and Denise (Jeff) Horvath of Mishawaka, IN; son, Kent Edward Bozenski of Grapevine, TX; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three on the way; sister, Carol J. Galvin of Elkhart, IN; and two brothers, Stafford Miller of CA and Rex Miller of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wonie; brothers, Ramey Miller, Buell Miller, Charles Miller and Gene Miller; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bozenski lived most of her life in South Bend. She worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in New Carlisle, retiring after twenty-five years of service. She was a volunteer and support group leader for the Alzheimer's Association . She was an active member of First Brethren Church, where she served as a board member, on the Women's Fellowship Committee and several other committees. She also was very active in church missions. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at First Brethren Church, 4909 Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN. Pastor Fred Youngen will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior the services Tuesday in church. Burial will take place Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on Feb. 28, 2016
