BUCHANAN - Miriam H. Dudkowski, 72, a lifelong resident of Buchanan, passed away on April 1, 2013 at 11:21 a.m. in Lakeland Medical Center in Niles, MI. She was born on Aug. 8, 1940 in Niles, MI to Mark & Marjorie Swartz Treat, who preceded her in death. Miriam was a 1958 graduate of Buchanan High School, then graduated in 1959 from House of James Beauty School in South Bend. She married her loving husband, Richard Dudkowski, who survives, on Dec. 22, 1963 in South Bend, Indiana, & of this union, they welcomed a son Darren Dudkowski into the world. He survives & resides in Hammond, Indiana. Miriam was the owner of Treats, Gifts and Cards in downtown Buchanan. Miriam was a wonderful wife and mother. She never had an enemy or said a bad word about anyone. All the doctors and medical personnel who had any dealing with Miriam always commented on her pleasant personality. Visitation will be Sun., April 7 from 3-6 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. A service celebrating her life will be Mon., April 8 at 11 a.m., also at Swem Chapel Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
