South Bend - Kay Horvath, 71, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in the Center for Hospice Care. Veronica Kay was born March 19, 1947 in South Bend to the late Harold and Evelyn (Klemczewski) Wilkinson. On April 8, 1967 in Holy Family Catholic Church Kay married Charles Horvath, he survives along with their sons, Mark (Lisa) Horvath, and Bradley (Debbie) Horvath; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Kolodziej, Lea Pierce, and Anthony (Rebecca) Horvath; Jesse Horvath, Cody Horvath, Heather Horvath; great-grandchild, Abagaile & Owen Seitz; Godson, Chad Hurley; brother, Harold F. (Candi) Wilkinson, Jr; brothers-in-law, Bernard (Judy) Horvath, Robert (Cheryl) Horvath, Kevin (Marty) Horvath, Brian (Laura) Horvath; and sisters-in-law, Joan (Charles) Hurley, Maureen (Joseph) Sassano. Kay was a member of the Quilters Guild, sit & sew group, and the GLNFCC racing circuit. She was an excellent cook and baker, cooking large dinners for many, including the GLNFCC teams. Kay loved art, painting, sewing and quilting, home decorating and gardening. She always thought of everyone else, before herself. Kay was a giving, loving, strong woman who kept her family in line. She always had a smile and open arms for family and friends. Visitation will take place 4:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. There will be a Mausoleum Service held at 10:00am Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery Memorial Contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place Dr, Mishawaka, IN 456544.
