SOUTH BEND - Marian E. Moore, 82, of South Bend, passed away at 7:00 AM Monday, June 20th, in her residence after an extended illness. Marian was born on July 30, 1928, in Hunstburg, Ohio, and had resided in the Michiana area most of her life. On July 4, 1957, in South Bend, as Marian E. Penzenik, she married Philip H. Moore, who preceded her in death on September 20, 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Nadine A. (Aaron DelPozo) Moore and Paula L. (David) McCubbins, both of South Bend; a son, Michael (Guyla) Moore of Mishawaka, IN. Also by two grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished, Ashley L. Moore of Mishawaka and Alex D. McCubbins of South Bend. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, one sister and five brothers. She loved cooking, playing cards, being with family and her grandchildren. She was also active with the American Legion Post 50 as an auxiliary member. She was also a member of the Saint Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Mrs. Moore retired from Midwest Sales and Service and the former Bendix Corporation in South Bend. Visitation hours will be from 4-8 PM today, June 22, in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road / Indiana 23, South Bend. A Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Saint Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Friends may call in the church one hour prior to services. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in South Bend. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to the The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the Saint Peter and Saint Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, 59262 Keria Trail, South Bend, IN 46614. The HANLEY & SONS "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Moore family.
