Jacquelynn J. Munger
Aug. 13, 1938 - Dec. 22, 2005
Jacquelynn Jane Munger, 67, of Niles, passed away Thursday, December 22, in Lakeland Regional Hospital, St. Joseph, after valiantly battling an illness. She was born on August 13, 1938, in Washington, IN, to Helen Dyer and Glen Roland. On January 14, 1955, she married Harold Wesley Munger in South Bend. Jackie had an everlasting impact as a wife, mother and grandmother. She helped raise her four children to lead caring and successful lives, and was very influential in the lives of her grandchildren. Jackie worked at Forler's Bakery in Niles for over 20 years, helping bring joy to the lives of others through the cakes she decorated. Some things on earth are so special they only come around once, and Jackie was no exception. No matter what, when, or where, she was always there to support her family. She could always be found sitting in her chair with a smile on her face, ready to enjoy company. She enjoyed reading, cooking, being around her cats, and spending time with her grandchildren. Every morning she would sit down and do her crossword puzzles and have breakfast. No matter how hard the puzzle, she knew the answers. No one could fill in the boxes quite like she could. In anything she did, she always tried hard to do her best, and throughout her life she encouraged others to keep trying, saying that nothing was impossible and to never give up. By sharing her wisdom, she inspired her entire family to succeed and be great people. If one were to write a manual on how to be a wife and mother, Jackie would be on the cover, and when it came to her grandchildren, she set the standard for grandmas everywhere. It is hard to put into words how she touched the lives of the people close to her. Yet, although she may be gone from this earth, she will always be here in spirit, and her legacy will live on in her family and the memories she was a part of.
