MISHAWAKA - W. Wayne Flowers, 79, passed away at his home peacefully after a battle with cancer on September 16th, 2016, in O'Brien, FL. He was born on November 3rd, 1936, in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was in the Army Reserves. He was a longtime worker of Flowers Bakery in Ft Pierce, Florida. He owned a successful pool business in Vero Beach, FL, with his wife Cindy till he retired and moved to O'Brien, Florida, in 2002. His major hobby was building experimental airplanes, he did acquire his FFA pilots license. His last plane was a Sonex. He was a part of the American Sonex Association. He was an avid offshore fisherman. He was survived by his wife, Cynthia Flowers (Lucas) of O'Brien, Florida. 3 Daughters, Tammy McAlexander of Mishawaka, Indiana, Kimberly Dixon of Vero Beach, FL, and Brandi Frazier of Vero Beach, FL. 1 son, David Flowers of Kendallville, Indiana. 2 Brothers, Joel Flowers, from Vero Beach, FL, and David Flowers from Orlando, Florida. He had 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. There was a memorial service @ the Philadelphia Baptist Church in McAlpin, Florida, on Tuesday, September 20th, @ 6pm.
