Polly M. Wojtysiak, 83, of South Bend, IN, passed away at home on September 19, 2013. Polly was born on October 25, 1929 in Dowagiac, MI, to Walter and Frances (Kopaceski) Kafka, who both preceded her in death.
On November 1, 1986, Polly married Casimer "Casey" L. Wojtysiak at St. Jude Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Alice Lekarczyk, Stella Edwards, Helen Grames, and Anna Lemanski. Polly is survived by her daughter, Joan D. Galbreath of Niles, MI; a step-daughter, Sandy (Ken) Belardinella of North Liberty, IN; a sister, Jean (Joe) Shonbok of Dowagiac, MI; a brother, Edward (Annie) Kafka of Coloma, MI; several nieces & nephews; and dear friends, Ken and Kay Zalas; and John, Lynn, and Katie Fishback.
For many years, Polly was employed at Rudy's Mfg. in Dowagiac, MI. She had a love for gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, making keflees, crafts, crocheting, and also fishing and mushroom hunting. Polly's heart was filled with love. She was forever giving. To make somebody happy made her happy. She is greatly loved and missed. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery
