Margaret C. "Maggie" Tamandli, 66, of Roosevelt Street, South Bend, passed away at 11:05 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, in her residence. She was born on February 2, 1939, in Sardis, Mississippi, to the late Lucille (Pound) and William Caldwell. On June 22, 1962, in South Bend, as Margaret Caldwell, she married Steve Tamandli who survives. Maggie is also survived by two daughters, Terri Haney of South Bend and Beverly (Paul) Deachin of South Glastonbury, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a brother, William Caldwell of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida. Maggie was a secretary for Morris Sales in Mishawaka, and attended Vineyard Community Church, Mishawaka. Memorial services for Maggie will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, in Vineyard Community Church, 1006 South Merrifield, Mishawaka. Pastor Mark Pope will conduct the memorial services. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place in the Michiana Crematory, South Bend. The Welsheimer Family Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial gifts in Maggie's honor may be given to Vineyard Community Church Scholarships (to help financially needy children experience Christian camps or special events).
