SOUTH BEND, IN - Sheila A. Lukowski, 76, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. Sheila was born on November 29, 1944 in South Bend to the late Bert and Bertha (Fzlanfucht) Pitula. Sheila will be lovingly remembered for the love and care she took with her family, as she loved to quilt, crochet, and sew, along with being an excellent cook and baker, often hosting many family and holiday events, and providing gifts that she'd fashioned and made herself. She also loved annual vacations with her husband Michael to Frankenmuth, MI. On September 12, 1964 in South Bend she united in marriage to Michael Lukowski who survives. She is survived by her two sons, Raymond (Jennifer Weldy) Lukowski of Osceola and Scott (Michelle) Lukowski of South Bend, along with her grandchildren, Dustin, Simon, Ramona, and Gabriella. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Olaski; nieces, Debbie, Shelly, Lori, Angie, and Davi Rae; and nephews, Dennis, Russell, Rick, and Adam. Sheila was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Clevenger and Beverly Pitula; and her brothers-in-law, Raymond Clevenger and Leon Olaski. Services for Sheila will be held at Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
