Lorraine J. Wisner, 90, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born on June 3, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Camiel and Leona (Schaubroeck) Dierickx. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Julius Dierickx. Lorraine is survived by two daughters, Brenda Nixon of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lori Ann (Michael) Jamieson of South Bend, Indiana, one son, Randall (Kim Paholski) Wisner of South Bend, Indiana, four grandchildren, Matthew Wisner-Hostetler, Shea Jamieson, Riley Jamieson and Emily (Chris)Thomson, two great grandchildren, Jude Deegan and Taylor Hostetler. Lorraine was a grade school graduate of St. Thomas Catholic School, South Bend, and then a graduate of South Bend Central High School in 1950. She married Robert Wisner (deceased) in 1952, and later divorced. To that union, her three children were born. During her working years, she was employed by The Career Resource Center of South Bend, Waterfield Mortgage, Tower Federal, and finished with her retirement after seventeen years of employment with Cressy & Everett Real Estate. During her retirement, she enjoyed for thirteen years volunteering at Memorial Hospital. Her hobbies included many years of playing in her golf league, board games with her grandchildren, regular weekly games of bridge and euchre with her friends in her card clubs, tending to her roses and flowers, and spending time with her family. For over fifty years she was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and for the last fifteen years, a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Rd. South Bend, IN 46614 at 12:00 pm. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Mass. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Pl., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
