LAPORTE - Albert J. Lestinsky, 87, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at his home. Albert was born March 17, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Albert &Karoline (Plany) Lestinsky. On September 19, 1953, he married Audrey June Zook, who survives. He was a veteran serving in the Korean War. Albert is survived by his four sons, Pete (Deborah) Lestinsky, John (Lucy) Lestinsky, Tom Lestinsky and Carl (Sue) Lestinsky; one daughterv Mary (Dick) Shepperd; ten grandchildren, Leslie, Dan, Jenna, Nicole, Nanette, Caroline, Emily, Katie, Samantha and Paige; eight great-grandchildren, Evan, Luke, Evanna, Sarina, Olivia, Wyatt, Brooklyn, and Willow; three sisters, Mildred (Jim) Soda, Ann Reed and Rose Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Caroline; one brother, Steve Lestinsky; and his three sisters, Margaret Ward, Annette Paprocki and Caroline Mrozinske. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, Essling Funeral Home-Frank L. Keszei Funeral Director, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, Essling Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
