LAPORTE - Patricia Ann Leja, 80, of Fish Lake, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Patricia was born October 28, 1934, in Blue Island, IL, to Charles and Frances (Kodasz) Rabidoux. She was a homemaker. On July 31, 1954, Patricia married Louis Leja, who survives. Surviving with her husband of 61 years are her children, David (Diana) Leja of Addison, Illinois, Kathy (George) Hunt of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Mike (Judy) Leja of Chesterton, Indiana, Tom (Brenda) Leja of Fish Lake, Indiana; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Leja of New Lenox, Illinois. Her son, Louis, preceded her in death in 2013. Also surviving are her grandchildren, David Leja, Jessica Leja, Danny Leja, Angie (Zack) Pentek, Eddie Hunt, Ashley (Jimmy) Korthals, Samantha Leja, Jill Leja, Savannah (Cody) Barnett, and Cassidy Leja; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Briella and Troy; and a sister, Dolores "Dody" Mielke. A sister, Charlotte Groeneveld, and a brother, Robert Rabidoux, preceded her in death. Patricia was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Sodality of St. Anthony's, the Fish Lake Conservation Club, and L.O.V.E., Lincoln Township Volunteer Effort. She enjoyed playing bingo and bunco. Visitation for Patricia will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, Essling Funeral Home-Frank L. Keszei Funeral Director, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fish Lake. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday at Essling Funeral Home before the Mass. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
