SOUTH BEND - Peter John Roncz, 73, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and of Topsfield Road, South Bend, died Saturday morning in Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla., of natural causes. Mr. Roncz retired in 1986 as owner and founder of Maron Products Inc., Mishawaka. He was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Divernon, Ill. On June 1, 1946, in South Bend, he married Catherine Scheibelhut. She survives with three daughters, Diane Schlifke, Maribeth Roncz and Janet Strahla, all of South Bend; a son, John G. of Elkhart; three grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Morse of South Bend. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
