===============

William was the son of Marquis Lafayette Voreis and Hulda Dolla Warner, who married on 30 Dec 1899. The couple had two sons together-William Buford (24 May 1901) and Glen Leo (27 Jul 1906). The 1900 Census placed Buford's parents in Union Township in Marshall County. Marquis Voreis, aged 31, was farming. Dolla, aged 20, reported that she had not yet had any children. That would change the following year when the stork delivered William Buford. In 1910, William's family was living in Union Township, Marshall Co., Indiana. Marquis Voreis, aged 41, was busy with the family's farm. Dolla, aged 30, reported that she had had two children, both still living. There with their parents were William, aged 9, and Leo (aka Glen), aged 3. The 1920 Census caught back up with the family, living on Cass St. in Union Township. Marquis (Marcus on the record), aged 50, was noted as a laborer for a private school, likely Culver Military Academy located in Culver, Union Township, Marshall County. Dolla (Hulda on the record), aged 40, was keeping house. Still living at home with their parents were sons William, aged 18, and Leo, aged 13. Seven years after that census, there was a wedding. William married Delphia Reed on 8 Oct 1927. They had two children together-Roger Dean (12 Apr 1928) and Loren Hew (2 Jul 1929). The four of them appeared together on the 1930 Census, living at 717 W. Adams St. in Plymouth, Marshall County. William, aged 28, was earning a living driving a moving van. Delphia, aged 24, was home with sons Roger, aged 1, and Loren, aged 9 months. Tragedy struck a few weeks after that census was taken. On 20 Apr 1930, William's younger brother Glen suffered an apparent heart attack and died. He was only 23 years old. So sad. Sometime before the next census, William, Delphia and the boys moved in with William's parents Marquis and Dolla Voreis. The six of them were together on the 1940 Census, living at 215 Shaley Dr. in Plymouth. Head of household was Marquis Voreis, aged 71. Listed next on the record was Dolla, aged 60, followed by William (Buford on the record), aged 38 and noted as a laborer for the farm bureau. Delphia, aged 34, was helping keep house. Roger and Loren were 11 and 10. A few months after that census was enumerated, William's father Marquis Voreis died on 10 Sep 1940. William only lived to aged 54, passing on 18 Oct 1955. Wife Delphia continued to care for her mother-in-law Dolla, who lived to age 87, departing this earth on 5 Sep 1966. Delphia lived to age 76, dying on the Fourth of July in 1981.
