Eleonore B. DeLoof, 91, of New Carlisle, IN passed away at 1:52 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 in Memorial Hospital. Eleonore was born on April 30, 1920 in Mishawaka, IN, to Raymond and Martha (Christiaens) Bonne, and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the Bendix Corporation in 1982 after 40 years as a Factory Storekeeper. On September 30, 1944 in St. Bavo Church, Mishawaka, IN, as Eleonore B. Bonne, she married Roger A. DeLoof, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2003. Also preceding her in death was one son, Roger P. DeLoof; and one brother, Raymond Bonne. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie DeLoof of New Carlisle, IN; one granddaughter, Rosetta (Tony) DeLoof-Primmer of New Carlisle, IN; three great-grandchildren, Roger, Angelique, and Vincent; three brothers, Maurice (Johanna) Bonne, Henry (Janice) Bonne, and Charles Bonne all of Mishawaka, IN; and her special friends, Lawrence and Mickie Smith of Galien, MI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Eleonore was a lifelong member of Corpus Christi Parish where she was a devout past member of the Holy Hour Devotion. She was also a member of the U.A.W. Local #9. Eleonore was an avid card player, euchre being her game of choice. She enjoyed playing bingo and attending card parties with her dear friends. She was devoted to her family and her great-grandchildren were the light of her life who she loved to brag about to anyone who would listen and always said they were "the best thing that ever happened to me".
