Maureen P. (Grochowalski) Vicsik, 80 years old, went to Heaven at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mo was born on November 28, 1942 in South Bend to the late Harold and Irene (Zaworski) Grochowalski . She graduated from St. Joseph High School. On September 8, 1962 in South Bend, Maureen P. Grochowalski and James D. Vicsik were united in marriage. Mo’s many years of working were in the clerical field. Mo’s pride and joy was her family, especially the smiles and hugs from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include their five children, Mary (Wayne) Six of Lakeville, Jody (John) Primmer of Walkerton, Michele (Greg) Weiss of North Liberty, Jim (Julie) Vicsik of Elkhart, and Mike (Amy) Vicsik of South Bend; ten grandchildren, Karly, Kelsey, Patricia, Elaina, Karena, Justina, Allyson, Jacob, Ava, and Jonas; seven great grandchildren, Lukas, Layla, Henry, Holly, Kyra, Everett & Kane & one more on the way; and five sisters-in-law , Marianne Grochowalski of South Bend, Rose Marciniak of South Bend, Edna (Jerry) Swartz of South Bend , Esther Roberts of Jones, MI, Caryll Vicsik of South Bend and brother-in-law Joe (Linda) Vicsik of South Bend. Mo is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jim; one brother, Bob Grochowalski; and two brothers-in-law, Richie and Ted Vicsik. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakeville. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville is assisting the family. Contributions may be made in the memory of Maureen P. Vicsik to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 63568 U.S. 31 South, Lakeville, IN 46536. Jim and Mo were married September 8th, 1962. They have 5 children:

Mike (Amy) Vicsik

They also have 10 grandchildren:

Karly, Kelsey. Patricia, Elaina,

Karena, Justina, Allyson, Jake,

Ava and Jonas.

And last but not least,

2 “GREAT” grandchildren:

Lukas and Layla.

They will celebrate with family.
