Anna M. (Campanale) Gulyanics, 76, of Mishawaka, passed away at St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, on Friday, July 11, at 1:30 p.m. She was born on Sept. 17, 1920, in Mishawaka, to Rocco and Tina (Carabini) Campanale, who preceded her in death. She lived her entire life in Mishawaka. On June 8, 1946, Ann married George Gulyanics, who preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1990. Mrs. Gulyanics is survived by two sons and a daughter, George M. of Mishawaka, Eugene L. "Geno" of Lawton, Mich., and Dr. Debra Gulyanics of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.. She is also survived by a brother, Eugene Campanale of Granger, and one granddaughter, Amanda Gulyanics of North Liberty. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald, on Feb. 9, 1963, and by a brother, Leonard Campanale on July 28, 1989. Mrs. Gulyanics was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and of Indiana University at South Bend, with a bachelor's and master's degree. She taught school for 24 years in the Mishawaka/South Bend area at St. Bavo's School and St. Monica's School and 17 years teaching English at Mishawaka High School. She was also an adjunct professor at IUSB. Mrs. Gulyanics was a member of the Democratic Women's Club and St. Monica's Parish.There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be said at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, with burial following at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
