MISHAWAKA - Martin E. Niedosik, 63, of Mishawaka, IN passed away early Tuesday, November 20, 2012, of natural causes, at his home. Martin was born November 3, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Edward M. and Mildred (Zabczynski) Niedosik. He lived most of his life in Mishawaka and South Bend. Martin served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1971 aboard the USS Oriskany. Martin is survived by his son, Martin E. (Amanda) Niedosik, Jr. of South Bend; grandson, Dominic Niedosik of South Bend; his sister, Carol A. Banks of Mishawaka; nephew, Michael J. (Sarah) Banks of South Bend; and two great nieces, Lillian and Kennedy Banks. His brother-in-law, Jack L. Banks, Sr. preceded him in death. An avid Notre Dame and Cubs fan, he enjoyed nothing more than to watch sports, and spend time with his family. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2120 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at church. Private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Arrangements were made by Palmer Funeral Home-River Park and Southlawn Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
