"Russell A. Humphrey Sr., 74, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in Hudson Florida., apparently after suffering a heart attack. He was born on Oct. 18, 1904, in South Bend and moved to Hudson in 1970. Humphrey was employed for 33 years with the Studebaker Corp. and for two years with Manpower Training. He retired in 1968. On Feb. 19, 1925, he married Lorretta Palka who survives. Also surviving are a son, Russell A. Jr. of Edwardsburg; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Baumgartner of Rolling Prairie and Mr. Madeline Zabik of South Bend. Service s will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church with rev. Thomas Zurcher, C.S.C., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday."
