SOUTH BEND - Aloysius A. "Al" Slaby, 69, died Tuesday in Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Mary "Sue"; three daughters, Amy Flaugher, Linda Carroll and Jenny Forkner, all of South Bend; a son, Tom of Madera, Calif.; his mother, Jane Slaby of South Bend; five sisters, Mary J. Tekip of Punta Gorda, Fla., Wanda Bain of Schaumburg, Ill., Stella Chlebowski and Carol Friend, both of South Bend, and Rosemary Coverdill of Enfield, Conn.; and two brothers, Vince of New Carlisle and David of Chattanooga, Tenn. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Baptist Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., and one hour before services in the church. SBT-January 26, 2006
