Juliana (Julie) Carr, 78, of Mishawaka passed away at home unexpectedly on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Juliana was born in Mishawaka to the late Bernard and Helen (Graham) DeVos. On February 14, 1970, she married Charles Carr who survives. Also surviving is her son, Douglas (Lora) Carr; grandchildren, Joshua, Mary, and Paige Carr and Sarah Davis; daughter-in-law, Patty Carr; sister, Cathleen Quick; and sisters-in-law, Lola and Barbara DeVos. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard DeVos and Robert DeVos and a stepson, Jeffrey Carr.Juliana worked in the HR department at Family & Children Center for 23 years until her retirement. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Julie was known by everyone as kind, caring, and loving. She was the light in every room she walked into and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. She was artistically gifted and enjoyed painting crafts. One of her favorite activities was to watch the dolphins swim and play while in Florida with her husband. Julie will forever be missed. Per her wishes there will be no formal services and cremation has taken place. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
