Arlene N. Jaquinde, 82, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:14 am on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in her home. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Teddy and Josephine (Saydak) Novak. On June 18, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois she was united in marriage to Roger Jaquinde, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2009. Arlene received her bachelor’s degree from Mundelein College, Chicago in 1960. She retired in 2018, after many years of service at Macy’s Department Store. Arlene is survived by her children, Denise (Mike) Murphy of Rochester, MN, William (companion, Patricia Fuentes) Jaquinde of South Bend and Celeste (Michael) Rogers of South Bend; five grandchildren, Kristine Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Jake Plemons and Will Jaquinde; and five great-grandchildren, Carter Murphy, Elliana Schleifer, Theodore Murphy, Matilda Murphy and Hayden Plemons. Her sister, Constance Moriello, preceded her in death. Family and friends may visit from 10:30 am (CST) until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am (CST) at St. Michael Catholic Church (Old Town), 1633 N. Cleveland Ave., Chicago, IL 60614. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery, Chicago.
