Palm Harbor, FL - Geraldine V. Kubiak, 98, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, in Florida. Geraldine was born September 9, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Hattie Palka. On January 19, 1944, Geraldine married Frank “Fritz” Kubiak, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Loretta Humphrey, Evelyn Gundeck, Vivian Michalski, Mildred Bielejewski; and a brother, Donald Palka. Survivors of Geraldine include daughter, Karla (Bob) Kuespert of Palm Harbor, FL; and grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Kuespert, Abbey Kuespert, and Molly Kuespert. In Geraldine's early years she enjoyed fishing trips to the cottage with her husband, and later in life playing dominos at Howard Park Senior Center. She also enjoyed playing cards, reading and gardening. Geraldine was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be greatly missed.Visitation for Geraldine will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, June 15, 2017, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 16, 2017, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
