John T. Grohowski, 94, of Edwardsburg, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born on January 4, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Joseph J., Sr. and Alice (Olexy) Grohowski. On September 2, 1950 he married Elaine Poznanski who preceded him in death on May 6, 1971. He later remarried Maxine Gann in 1976 who survives. John also survived by two daughters, Sharon Grohowski of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lori (Gary) Moore of Elkhart, Indiana, five grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Calie, Crystal and Michael, one great grandchild, Easton, one sister, Jenny Orlicki, one sister-in-law, Henrietta Grohowski. John was also predeceased in death by two sisters, Stella and Dorothy, four brothers, Joe, Chester, Stanley, and Sylvester. John was a Marine Corp. Veteran, he served from 1945-1946 on the USS Ranger which was an aircraft carrier. John was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church since 1960. He loved raising strawberries and gardening. A visitation will be held on Friday December 18, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12, Edwardsburg, Michigan 49112. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm in the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
