Howard Silvey, 91, of 316 Woodies Lane Bremen, IN, died at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. Mr. Silvey retired in 1966 after 40 years as a foreman for NIPSCO. He was born May 27, 1901, in Onward, Indiana, living here since 1936. On July 4, 1925, in Logansport, Indiana, he married Florence Harbert. She survives with two daughters, Phyllis Boocher and Ruth Fowler, both of Bremen; a son, John of Anderson, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mable Johnson and Nellie Harbert, both of Logansport. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Bremen Masonic Lodge 414. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Mishler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bremen Cemeteiy. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
