SOUTH BEND - Bertha Smith Seske of South Bend, IN was born on April 10, 1941 in Anna, IL. She passed away at Milton Nursing Home at 12:30 a.m. February 18, 2016. Her parents, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by Merlin; two sons, Terry (Cathy) Seske and their children, Nick and Christopher Dokey of South Bend, IN and Robert (Kimberley) Seske and their children, Nick, Eric and Amanda Seske of Osceola, IN; one sister, Helen Summers of Owensboro, KY and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at First Brethren Church, 4909 S. Ironwood, South Bend, IN. Rev. Fred Youngen will officiate with music by Janna Youngen. Visitation will be at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Monday at church. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family.
