He formerly owned and operated Clay Service Center, a John Deere dealership, and was also the Assistant Fire Chief in Clay Township, Indiana. He attended First Baptist Church in Spring Lake. The service for Roman will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Spring Lake with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Friends may meet the family 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
