SOUTH BEND - Alfreda L. Molnar, 85, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at the Waters of Yorktown in Yorktown, IN, following an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1925, in South Bend, the daughter of Maxamillion and Louis (Myszak) Szymanski, and had attended South Bend city schools and later Washington High School, also in South Bend. Mrs. Molnar was a quality control inspector at RACO in South Bend. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Alfreda enjoyed baking and egg decorating. Surviving are her son, Terry Molnar (wife, Glenna), Muncie; one brother, Chester Szymanski, New Carlisle; three grandchildren, Brent Molnar, Bloomington, Seth Molnar (wife, Sara), Ballston Spa, New York, and Jason Molnar (wife, Cathy), Yorktown; four great-grandchildren, Grady, Eve, Owen and Lily Molnar; three nieces and three nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Sally Szymanski and Irene Szymanski. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Joseph Molnar, who died in 1984; and two brothers, Bert Szymanski and Daniel Szymanski. A private family committal service will be conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the St. Joseph Cemetery, with Father Peter Pacini, CSC, officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Family request no flowers or memorial contributions be made. Parson Mortuary of Muncie is in charge of arrangements.
