Henrietta L. Robaska
Jan. 16, 1923 - Dec. 14, 2017
SOUTH BEND - Henrietta Robaska, 94, peacefully went to heaven on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Caring Junction. Henrietta was born January 16, 1923 in South Bend to the late Frank and Victoria Markiewicz. On September 28, 1946 Henrietta married Joseph Walorski, who passed away on May 29, 1972. In May of 1975 Henrietta married Chester Robaska who passed away on May 2, 1996. She was blessed that the Lord gave her two loving husbands. Henrietta was also preceded in death by her sisters, Emily Widawski, Mary Koper, and Molly Schminky; and stepchildren, Karen Jozwiak and Ken Robaska. Henrietta was a parishioner of Holy Family and St. Jude Catholic Churches. She was devoted in her Catholic faith and prayed the Rosary daily. Henrietta was an inspiration to everyone she met and always took an interest in others. She was a candy striper, loved her daily walks, and was determined to get better to resume her walks. She had a love for nature, flowers, butterflies, birds, travel, baking, reading, and dancing. Henrietta had a grateful heart and dedicated her life to loving and caring for others. Henrietta's kindness and tenderness blessed all. She was lovingly called “Aunt Etta, Sweet Henrietta, and Sister”. Henrietta was a beautiful, classy lady who always had gorgeous nails. Her greatest love was for her family. She was an amazing mother who was always there for her family. Her son is beyond grateful for her devotion and incredible parenting. Her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed by her presence. They brought her so much joy and could do no wrong. They always loved taking candy from her candy jar. She loved to just sit and watch them play, swim, laugh, and interact with her son. Survivors of Henrietta include her son, David (Deborah) Walorski of South Bend; grandchildren, David III (Carla) Sklorenko, Sarah Sklorenko, Melissa (Doug) Vervaet, Scott (Nonna) Jozwiak, Brian (Renee) Jozwiak, and Aimee (Telly) Freeburg; 17 great-grandchildren; nephews, Roy, John and Bob Schminky, and Mark Widawski, Fred, Paul & Ralph Walorski; and nieces, Vicki Boyer, Judy Marvel, and Sue Walorski. Thank you Lord for mothers everywhere, but especially thank you for Henrietta. We thank you too for the gift of your own tenderness. May we give to others what we have received from you. May Henrietta rest in the tender hand of our Lord, we will miss her dearly. Visitation for Henrietta will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
